Misophonia is a disorder - not a very serious one, mind you, but it can effect your daily life quite a bit, especially when it comes to moods.
In short, it's the inability to tolerate certain noises. Upon hearing them, the person with the condition (in this case, me) grows extremely vexed and irritable. My particular noises that I am affected by are: chewing, lip-smacking, rustling and for the moment repeated gasping. (More on that in a sec.)
